Record month for deals

Licensed leisure specialist AG&G has reported last month as being the most successful to date for property deals over the last six months.

In spite of current conditions, sales have been increasing and in March AG&G concluded transactions worth over £13.85 million.

While the figures speak for themselves, AG&G director James Grimes adds: “This certainly illustrates that there is more activity, with some players speculating that we have now reached the bottom of the downturn.

These views, alongside plummeting interest rates and little return for cash savings, have contributed to a growing confidence in property across the board; purchases through AG&G in the last month have included single properties ranging in price from £300,000 to in excess of £3 million.

These property sales, which have all been freehold interests, include a Chelsea pub, which achieved in excess of £3 million, the Urban Vine in Rickmansworth, the Elephants Head, Seven Oaks (£400,000) and the Lordship London.
