Professional advice leads to 0% uplifts

The outcome of rent reviews is based on the quality of information about a licensed premises (comparables) and the quality of the arguments used to justify one figure or another.

In recent reviews of three properties leased by Greene King, AG&G, their representative, successfully argued for no increase at all.

The three premises are:

• The Trout, a modern pub with outdoor seating, live music and full disabled access at Hammersmith’s Broadway shopping centre in London
   
• Copa, a well-regarded gastro-pub with terrace near Cardiff’s Millennium Stadium
   
• Goblets, a popular wine and real ale operation near Southampton Solent University
