From 1990, Anthony spent six years at a specialist rating and valuation firm covering the UK and was elected a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in 1993. He gained an internal perspective of the industry while working at Scottish & Newcastle for several years, where he became an estate manager for London. He went on to become head of the pub department for an international firm of chartered surveyors.
His strengths include rent reviews, bank valuation and agency work. He acted as the principal client contact during the revaluation of the Channel Island Traders' licensed property estate, encompassing southern England and the Channel Islands, and has dealt with many kinds of specialist properties, including bowling centres, health and fitness clinics and breweries.
Anthony is a formidable dealmaker. He has reduced rating assessments across the Nandos estate, successfully defending a nil uplift at a rent review third party procedure in the City, and concluded the discreet sale of a portfolio of freehold and leasehold central London pubs from Mitchells & Butlers to Fuller Smith & Turner for a multi-million sum.
He is a keen cyclist and recently rode from London to Barcelona in just six days.
